This is Legazpi Boulevard and the Kapuntukan Hills the sleeping Lion..but people called it right now Embarcadero..The Kapuntukan Hill lies approximately a kilometer away from the busy Legazpi port. Because of its shape, it is also fondly and more popularly called by Legazpeños as the Sleeping Lion Hill, with the higher peak resembling a lion’s hunched shoulders and mane and the lower peak, its rump. The Legazpi Boulevard is a coastal road network extending from the city’s central business district and port area to the southern barangays, an area deemed as a new frontier of development. The boulevard is one of the most picturesque seaside roads in the Philippines, with a spectacular view of the Mayon Volcano and the Kapuntukan hill to the north. A monument to the great Spanish conquistador Miguel Lopez de Legazpi stands at the foot of the Kapuntukan HillThe boulevard has also become a favorite recreation area for the city due to its fresh see breeze and excellent view. In the mornings, many Legazpeños troop to the boulevard to jog, run, bike and do exercises.
